Passionate advocates dedicated to saving lives, providing care and giving animals a second chance at a loving, forever home.
Saving Lives, One Animal at a Time
Angie’s Dog House, a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue, was founded in 2018 with a vision to unite rescues rather than divide them. After years of volunteering, Angie saw the need for a more collaborative, compassionate approach to rescue. Our focus is saving adoptable dogs and cats from high-kill shelters and other at-risk situations in the South and giving them the second chance at the lives they deserve. Through partnerships with rescues in the Northeast, our Michigan foster network and direct adoptions, we ensure every dog we save has the best chance at a loving home.
Making a Difference Beyond Rescue
We believe in the life-changing bond between humans and pets and our mission extends beyond rescue—we provide access to low-cost veterinary care, spay and neuter programs and vaccinations, ensuring animals receive needed medical attention. Additionally, we are committed to tackling heartworm, a devastating disease affecting dogs in the South. Angie’s Dog House donates heartworm treatment to infected dogs in local Alabama shelters, giving them a chance to heal and find loving homes. By supporting animals and the people who love them, we work toward a future where fewer pets end up in shelters and more families experience the joy of pet companionship.
Giving the Voiceless a Second Chance
At Angie’s Dog House, we believe it is our responsibility to care for sick, abandoned and vulnerable animals who have no voice. We rescue dogs from overcrowded kill shelters, neglectful situations and dangerous environments, ensuring they receive medical care, rehabilitation and love. Through our network of rescue partners and fosters, we place these dogs in homes where they will be cherished for life. But we can’t do it alone—our work is only possible with the support of compassionate individuals like you. Join us in our mission to save lives, build connections and give every animal the second chance they deserve.
We’d been searching for the perfect addition to our family for a few months and finally came across Ollie on PetFinder. We had various questions due to the logistics of getting him from out of state and Angie was amazing about communicating with us and answering all of our questions. She explained all of his medical records to us and was incredibly diligent about making sure we knew exactly what he needed or what had already been taken care of. We are so grateful to Angie’s Dog House for bringing Ollie into our lives!
Ollie's Adopter
I was looking to adopt another Great Dane and I found a gorgeous little boy named Zeus on PetFinder. After filling out a simple application, I was contacted by Angie and a had a great conversation with her. She made sure I understood what it took to take care of a large breed. I explained this would be my 7th Dane. Angie was great, she gave me Zeus’ full history of how he came to be up for adoption. Angie was beyond helpful with getting him fixed and pexied (a surgical procedure) before he came to us. Angie kept me informed every step of the way. She was beyond patient dealing with a very excited expectant Great Dane mom. I can not say enough great things about Angie’s Dog House!
